Quick Troubleshooting
| Issue | First Step |
|---|---|
| Compressor does not start | Check the power connection, fuse, mode and target pressure |
| Compressor runs slowly | Check that the hose connector is tight and allow the unit to cool |
| Airflow is weak | Check hose/nozzle connections and remove any blockage |
| Air is leaking | Securely connect the hose and valve |
| Pressure reading/unit seems wrong | Check the selected pressure unit |
| Unit stops after extended use | Let it cool for at least 10 minutes before reusing |
| LED light does not turn on | Press the LED Light Button |
| Unit will not power on from car socket | Confirm it is a 12V socket, not a 24V system |
1. Compressor Does Not Start
- Check that the power cable is firmly connected.
- Confirm the correct power source is selected:
- Car/DC: 12V vehicle socket
- AC: wall outlet
- Make sure the AC/DC Power Button is set to the correct position.
- Check the fuse.
- Confirm that the target pressure has been set correctly.
- Try again once the power connection and settings are correct.
Important: Use only a 12V DC vehicle socket. Do not connect the unit to a 24V vehicle system.
2. Compressor Runs Slowly
- Check that the air-hose connector is tightly attached.
- Check for air leakage around the hose and valve.
- Allow the compressor to cool down before reuse.
- Avoid exceeding the 15-minute maximum continuous operating time.
- Allow at least 10 minutes of cooling before restarting.
3. Airflow Is Weak
- Check that the hose is connected to the correct port.
- Make sure the nozzle is fitted securely.
- Check the hose and nozzle for blockage or damage.
- Make sure the air inlet and outlet are not obstructed.
- Try again after correcting the connection.
4. Air Is Leaking at the Tyre Valve
- Reconnect the quick connector firmly to the tyre valve stem.
- Lock the connector lever.
- Check that the hose connector is securely attached.
- Start inflation again and monitor the pressure.
5. Pressure Unit Is Incorrect
The Vayu Hybrid supports PSI, BAR, KPA and kg/cm².
- Press the Unit Button to cycle through the available units.
- Check the unit shown on the display.
- Set the target pressure using + and −.
- Confirm the target matches the recommended pressure for the tyre or inflatable.
6. Compressor Stops During Use
The compressor is designed for a maximum of 15 minutes of continuous operation.
- Switch off the compressor.
- Allow it to cool for at least 10 minutes.
- Check the hose connection and target pressure.
- Restart only after the unit has cooled.
7. Unit Does Not Power On from the Vehicle Socket
- Confirm that the vehicle socket is 12V DC.
- Start the vehicle engine before operation.
- Insert the car power plug firmly.
- Slide the power selector to the Car/DC position.
- Check the cable and fuse.
Do not use a 24V vehicle system.
8. AC Power Is Not Working
- Check that the AC plug is securely connected to a working wall outlet.
- Slide the power selector to the AC position.
- Check the power cord for visible damage.
- Do not use the unit if the power cable is damaged or unusually hot.
9. LED Light Is Not Working
- Make sure the unit is connected to power.
- Press the LED Light Button to switch the light on or off.
- If the light still does not respond, note the behaviour before contacting support.
10. Device Becomes Hot or Makes an Abnormal Noise
Stop using the unit immediately if it becomes excessively hot, produces an unusual smell or makes abnormal noise.
- Switch off the unit.
- Disconnect the power source.
- Allow the compressor to cool.
- Check that the air inlet and outlet are not blocked.
- Do not disassemble the unit.
Contact support if the issue persists.
11. Inflation Does Not Stop at the Expected Pressure
- Check that the target pressure is set correctly.
- Confirm the pressure unit is correct.
- Recheck the recommended pressure for the tyre or inflatable.
- Monitor the display during operation.
- Stop using the unit if the automatic stop function appears not to work correctly.
