Quick Troubleshooting
| Issue | First Step |
|---|---|
| Router does not turn on | Check the selected DC output voltage and connector |
| Mini UPS does not turn on | Connect its 12V/2A input and charge for 30–60 minutes |
| Router restarts or disconnects | Confirm the router's voltage/current requirements match the UPS output |
| Backup time is shorter than expected | Check the load, battery charge and number of connected devices |
| No backup during a power cut | Check that the mini UPS is charged, switched on and connected correctly |
| USB device does not work | Check that it accepts 5V and is within the 2.1A output rating |
| Mini UPS becomes unusually hot | Disconnect it from use if safe, allow it to cool and check ventilation |
| LEDs indicate a fault | Check connections and recharge; contact support if the fault persists |
1. Router Does Not Turn On
- Turn off the router and check its power label.
- Confirm that the router's required voltage matches the selected DC output.
- Confirm that the current requirement does not exceed the output rating.
- Check that the correct DC connector tip is being used.
- Make sure the cable is fully inserted at both ends.
- Switch on the mini UPS and then the router.
- If the router still does not turn on, test it with its original adapter to check whether the router itself is working.
Do not use a different voltage output just to see whether it works.
2. Mini UPS Does Not Turn On
- Check that the input connection is secure.
- Confirm that the mini UPS is connected to a suitable 12V/2A DC power source.
- Allow it to charge for 30–60 minutes.
- Try switching it on again.
- If it still does not respond, check for visible damage and contact support.
3. Router Restarts or Disconnects Intermittently
- Check that the router's required voltage matches the selected DC output.
- Check that the current requirement is within the selected output's limit.
- Make sure the DC connector is fully inserted.
- Check that the cable is not loose or damaged.
- Disconnect extra devices to reduce the load.
- Test the router again.
4. Backup Time Is Shorter Than Expected
The mini UPS provides up to 5 hours of backup, depending on load and battery condition.
- Check how many devices are connected.
- Disconnect devices that do not need backup.
- Confirm that the mini UPS was fully charged before use.
- Check whether the connected equipment has a high power draw.
- Make sure the ventilation openings are clear and the unit is not overheating.
- Recharge the mini UPS before the next expected power cut.
5. Mini UPS Does Not Switch to Battery Mode During a Power Cut
- Confirm that the mini UPS is charged.
- Check that the router is connected to the correct DC output.
- Make sure the mini UPS input and output connections are secure.
- Check the status LEDs for battery or fault indication.
- Restore mains power and allow the unit to charge, then test again if safe to do so.
If the unit repeatedly fails to provide backup, contact support.
6. USB-A or USB-C Device Does Not Work
The USB-A and USB-C outputs provide 5V/2.1A.
- Confirm that the connected device accepts 5V input.
- Check that its current requirement is within the output rating.
- Reseat the USB cable.
- Try another compatible cable or device.
- If the device requires 9V or 12V, do not use the 5V USB output as a substitute.
7. Status LEDs Show a Fault or No Clear Status
- Check the input, output and DC connector connections.
- Confirm the connected device is not drawing more power than the selected output supports.
- Disconnect the load and recharge the mini UPS.
- Check the LED status again after charging.
- If the fault indication persists, stop using the unit and contact support.
8. Mini UPS Becomes Unusually Hot
- Stop using the mini UPS if it becomes unusually hot.
- Disconnect the load and power input if this can be done safely.
- Move it to a dry, ventilated area and allow it to cool.
- Ensure that ventilation openings are not blocked.
- Do not open or attempt to repair the unit.
- Contact support if overheating continues.
9. Device Voltage or Current Is Unclear
Before connecting a device:
- Read the voltage and current ratings printed on its original power adapter or device label.
- Match the voltage to one of the mini UPS outputs: 5V, 9V or 12V DC.
- Ensure the device's current requirement is within the corresponding output limit.
- Confirm the connector tip is correct.
- If any rating is unclear, do not connect the device until its requirements are confirmed.
