2. Connectivity Guide
The Portronics Bubble 2.0 supports two connection modes:
2.4 GHz USB Receiver
Bluetooth (BT1 / BT2)
A. Connecting via 2.4 GHz USB Receiver
Step 1: Turn ON the Keyboard
Turn on the keyboard using the power switch located on the back of the keyboard.
Step 2: Insert the USB Receiver
Locate the USB receiver stored in the keyboard compartment.
Insert the receiver into the USB port of your laptop, desktop, or tablet.
Step 3: Activate 2.4 GHz Mode
Press F10 (2.4G Mode) to enable USB receiver mode.
Step 4: Automatic Connection
Once the receiver is detected, the keyboard will automatically connect to the device.
No manual pairing or driver installation is required.
Step 5: Start Using the Keyboard
After the system detects the keyboard, it will be ready for immediate use.
B. Connecting via Bluetooth
Step 1: Turn ON the Keyboard
Turn on the keyboard using the power switch located on the back.
Step 2: Select Bluetooth Mode
Press one of the following:
Fn + F11 → BT1
Fn + F12 → BT2
The indicator light will illuminate based on the selected Bluetooth mode.
Step 3: Enter Pairing Mode
Press and hold:
Fn + F11 (BT1) or
Fn + F12 (BT2)
for 5–7 seconds until the indicator light starts blinking rapidly.
This indicates that the keyboard has entered pairing mode.
Step 4: Enable Bluetooth on Your Device
For Windows
Open Settings
Go to Bluetooth & Devices
Turn Bluetooth ON
Click Add Device
Select Bluetooth
Choose Bubble 2.0 BT1 / BT2
Click Connect
For macOS
Open System Settings
Select Bluetooth
Turn Bluetooth ON
Locate Bubble 2.0 BT1 / BT2
Click Connect
Step 5: Connection Confirmation
Once the keyboard connects successfully:
The indicator light will stop blinking
The keyboard will respond normally while typing
The keyboard is ready to use
If the Keyboard Does Not Respond
Please try the following:
Remove and reinsert the USB receiver
Try a different USB port
Ensure the keyboard power switch is ON
Verify that the batteries are properly installed
3. Power Saving Mode
To conserve battery power, the keyboard automatically enters sleep mode after a period of inactivity.
How to Wake the Keyboard
Press any key on the keyboard.
The keyboard will reconnect automatically within a few seconds.
4. Troubleshooting Guide
Issue 1: Keyboard Not Working After Connecting USB Receiver
Recommended checks:
Ensure the USB receiver is properly inserted
Try another USB port
Restart your laptop or PC
Ensure the keyboard power switch is ON
Issue 2: Keyboard Not Appearing in Bluetooth List
Recommended checks:
Ensure the keyboard is in Bluetooth pairing mode
Restart Bluetooth on your device
Restart the keyboard and try pairing again
Move the keyboard closer to the device
Issue 3: Keyboard Connected but Not Typing
Recommended checks:
Remove the keyboard from the Bluetooth device list
Restart your computer or mobile device
Reconnect the keyboard again
Ensure the keyboard is not connected to another device
Issue 4: Keyboard Stops Working After Some Time
This usually occurs when the keyboard enters sleep mode.
Solution
Press any key to wake the keyboard.
Issue 5: Wireless Connection Not Stable
Recommended checks:
Ensure the keyboard is within the recommended wireless range (up to 10 meters)
Avoid placing the receiver near strong wireless interference sources
Reinsert the USB receiver to reconnect the keyboard
Issue 6: Alt Key and Windows Key Working Incorrectly
If the Alt key works as the Windows key or vice versa, the keyboard may be set to a different operating system mode.
Solution
Press the following shortcut based on your device:
Fn + I → iOS Mode
Fn + O → macOS Mode
Fn + P → Windows Mode
5. Maintenance and Care
To maintain optimal performance:
Clean the keyboard using a soft, dry cloth
Avoid exposure to liquids or moisture
Remove the batteries if the keyboard will not be used for a long period
Store the keyboard in a dry and dust-free environment
