- Still Facing Issues?
Issue 1: Screen Is Not Clear / Blurry
Checks:
- The Beem 460 has Auto Focus, but you can fine-tune manually using the Focus wheel or the remote's Focus –/+ buttons
- Maintain a projection distance appropriate for your screen size (40"–200" range)
- Use the projector in a dark or low-light room
- Ensure the projector is placed straight and level, facing the screen directly
Issue 2: Projector Not Powering ON
Checks:
- Check the power cable connection at both the projector and the wall outlet
- Confirm the power outlet is working
- Look for the power indicator light on the projector to confirm it's receiving power
- Try a different power outlet or cable if available
Issue 3: Projector Turns OFF Automatically / Gets Warm During Use
Checks:
- Ensure the projector's air vents are not blocked or covered
- Place the projector in a well-ventilated, open area during use
- Let the device cool down before restarting if it feels excessively hot
- Cut off the power switch if the projector will be idle for a long time, as noted in the manual
Issue 4: No Display / Black Screen on Projector
Checks:
- Confirm the correct HDMI input is selected if using an external source (the Beem 460 has 2 HDMI ports — check you've selected the right one)
- Restart the projector
- Reconnect the HDMI or USB cable securely at both ends
Issue 5: Screen Is Tilted or Distorted
Checks:
- Confirm Auto Keystone Correction is enabled in the Projection Settings menu
- Ensure the projector is on a flat, level surface facing the screen straight-on
- Reposition the projector so it's centered with the screen
Issue 6: Wi-Fi Not Connecting
Checks:
- Restart both the projector and your Wi-Fi router
- Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, re-select your network, and re-enter the correct password
- Move the projector closer to the router for a stronger signal
Issue 7: Bluetooth Not Connecting
Checks:
- Restart both the projector and the Bluetooth device (speaker/headphones)
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth, remove the paired device, and re-search/re-pair
- Keep both devices within close range during pairing
Important Note:
- Some Bluetooth devices may not connect due to compatibility limitations between devices
- Certain devices may not work together even though they function properly with other devices
Issue 8: Screen Mirroring Not Working
Checks:
- Ensure the projector and your phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network
- Restart both devices
- Use your phone's built-in wireless mirroring feature (Miracast for Android, AirPlay/Screen Mirroring for iOS)
- For laptops, use a wired HDMI connection instead
Issue 9: Internet Is Connected but Apps Are Not Working
Checks:
- Confirm the Wi-Fi icon on the status bar shows a connected (not just "saved") network — a weak or unstable connection can look connected but fail to load app content
- Restart the projector to refresh the network connection
- Open Settings > Application Settings, select the affected app, and clear its app data/cache
- Check for a system or app update under Settings, since outdated app versions can lose server compatibility
- Check for time, date, and correct timezone.
- If only one specific app fails while others work, the issue is likely with that app's servers or your account login rather than the projector — try logging out and back in
- As a last resort, restore factory settings under Settings > Other Settings if multiple apps are consistently failing despite a stable connection
Issue 10: YouTube Not Working / Not Loading
Checks:
- Confirm you have a stable internet connection (try loading another app or a browser to compare)
- Clear the YouTube app's cache and data under Settings > Application Settings
- Check if a YouTube app update is available and install it
- Sign out and sign back into your Google account within the app
- Restart the projector if the app remains unresponsive
- If YouTube fails to open at all or crashes repeatedly, a factory reset may be required — raise a support request if the issue persists
Issue 11: No Sound / Low Volume
Checks:
- Increase volume using the remote's Volume +/– buttons
- Check that Mute isn't enabled
- If using Bluetooth or AUX-connected speakers, check the connection and reconnect if needed
Issue 12: Remote Control Not Responding
Checks:
- Ensure the remote is aimed directly at the projector's IR receiver
- Replace the batteries if the remote feels unresponsive or has a short range
Issue 13: Dust Spots / Dark Dots Visible on the Projected Image
Checks:
- This is usually caused by dust settling on the lens or inside the projector's optical path, not a hardware fault
- Gently wipe the lens with a soft, dry microfiber cloth — never use water, alcohol, or abrasive materials directly on the lens
- Clean the air vents regularly with a soft brush or compressed air to prevent dust buildup from migrating onto internal optics
- Keep the projector in a clean, dust-free environment when not in use, and avoid running it in dusty rooms
- If dark spots persist after external cleaning, dust may have settled inside the unit — do not attempt to open or clean internal components yourself, as this can void the warranty; raise a support request instead
Warranty: 12 months, covering product design, feature, and functionality-related faults. Damage due to physical impact, liquid exposure, fire, or misuse is not covered.
