1. Quick Reference Table
| Problem | Likely Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Inflator won't turn on | Power button not held long enough | Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn on the power switch |
| Screen is blank / device unresponsive | Device asleep, or battery too low | Press the power button ("⏻") briefly to wake the screen; if still blank, charge via the Type-C port |
| Battery mark is flashing | Battery power below 10% | Recharge using the included USB to Type-C cable; a full charge takes about 4 hours |
| Device won't hold a charge / seems to charge oddly | Wrong cable used | Use only the USB to Type-C charging cable included in the box |
| Inflator stops far short of the target, or doesn't stop when expected | Wrong pressure unit or wrong mode selected | Long-press "M" to check/change the pressure unit; short-press "M" to check/change the inflation mode; re-set target pressure with "+"/"–" |
| Device or hose feels very warm during/after use | Normal heat build-up — expected behaviour | This is normal; avoid touching the hose right after use until it cools |
| Device stops working / won't restart after extended use | Continuous inflation exceeded ~10 minutes | Turn off the inflator and let it cool for 30 minutes before resuming |
| Device damaged after exposure to water, dust, or extreme heat | Not rated for these conditions | Avoid future exposure; such damage is explicitly excluded from warranty |
2. Pressure Unit Mismatch (BAR vs. PSI)
If the target/preset pressure looks far too high or too low — for example the inflator stops well short of a full tyre, or doesn't stop at all — the unit may be set to the wrong scale (e.g. BAR selected when you meant PSI, or vice versa). The units are not interchangeable 1:1 (1 BAR ≈ 14.5 PSI).
Fix:
- Long-press the "M" button for 3 seconds to cycle through the pressure units: PSI → BAR → KPA → KG/CM².
- Stop on the correct unit for your use case (PSI is standard for most car and bike tyres).
- Press "+" or "–" to re-enter your desired target pressure.
- Confirm the unit shown on the display before pressing the power button to start inflation.
3. Selecting the Wrong Inflation Mode
Vayu 7.0 has 4 built-in modes: Sedan Car Tire, Motorcycle, Bicycle, and Ball. Inflating with the wrong mode selected can lead to under- or over-inflation relative to what you intended.
Fix:
- Short-press "M" to cycle through the inflation modes shown on the display icons.
- Select the mode that matches what you're inflating.
- Set the target pressure with "+"/"–" before starting.
4. Overheating / Continuous Use
- Continuous inflation of more than 10 minutes is not recommended.
- If longer use is unavoidable, turn off the tyre inflator after 10 minutes of constant use and let it cool down for 30 minutes before resuming.
- Warmth during and immediately after use is normal — this is not a fault.
5. Battery & Charging Notes
| Battery Mark State | Charge Level |
|---|---|
| First mark only | 100% > power > 70% |
| Second mark | 70% > power > 40% |
| Third mark | 40% > power > 10% |
| Third mark flashing | Below 10% — recharge immediately |
Charge via the Type-C port using the included USB to Type-C cable. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours; it's recommended to fully charge before first use.
