2. Pressure Unit Mismatch (BAR vs. PSI)

If the target/preset pressure looks far too high or too low — for example the inflator stops well short of a full tyre, or doesn't stop at all — the unit may be set to the wrong scale (e.g. BAR selected when you meant PSI, or vice versa). The units are not interchangeable 1:1 (1 BAR ≈ 14.5 PSI).

Fix:

  1. Long-press the mode button for 3 seconds to cycle through the pressure units: PSI → BAR → KPA → KG/CM².
  2. Stop on the correct unit for your use case (PSI is standard for most car and bike tyres).
  3. Press "+" or "–" to re-enter your desired target pressure.
  4. Confirm the unit shown on the display before pressing the power button to start inflation.

3. Selecting the Wrong Inflation Mode

Vayu 10 cycles through 5 modes: Cars, Motorcycles, Bicycles, Sport Balls, and Custom. Inflating with the wrong mode selected can lead to under- or over-inflation relative to what you intended.

Fix:

  1. Short-press the mode button to cycle through the inflation modes shown on the display.
  2. Select the mode that matches what you're inflating.
  3. Set the target pressure with "+"/"–" before starting.

4. Overheating / Continuous Use

  • Allow the inflator to cool down after prolonged use to prevent overheating.
  • If the inflator stops suddenly mid-task, this is usually the overheating protection activating — let it rest for around 30 minutes before resuming.
  • Avoid continuous inflation runs beyond approximately 10 minutes.

5. USB Emergency Port Not Charging a Device

  • Confirm the inflator's own battery has charge — the emergency port draws from the same battery.
  • Try a different charging cable; the port outputs 5V/1A, which is intended for a quick top-up rather than a fast charge.
  • This port cannot be used while the inflator itself is charging.

Charge fully before first use via the Type-C charging port (5V/2A input) using the supplied cable.

7. General Safety Reminders

  • Only use the inflator for its intended applications.
  • Avoid inflating objects beyond their recommended pressure limits.
  • Do not operate the inflator in extreme temperatures or near flammable materials.
  • Keep away from children to prevent accidental operation.
  • Store the inflator in a dry and ventilated place; avoid exposure to water or other liquid.
