1. Quick Reference Table
| Problem | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Speaker shuts down automatically | Battery protection triggered by low power | Charge for 4 hours after use before resuming |
| Can't play music from USB/TF | Music file's storage path not recognized | Store audio files in the root directory of the removable device, not in a subfolder |
| No sound when connected to a computer | Wrong audio output port selected | Select the correct audio output port on your computer |
| Buttons unresponsive or acting oddly | Function in disorder | Shut down and try again |
| Speaker in an abnormal state | Software/firmware hang | Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to reset |
| Wireless mic won't connect | Powered on with no device in range, entered pairing mode | Mic connects to the last device automatically; if none is found within 10 seconds it enters pairing mode — pair it fresh |
| No FM reception | Antenna cable not connected | Insert the charging cable as a radio antenna |
2. Automatic Shutdown
Cause: when battery power is low, battery protection turns on automatically and shuts the speaker down.
Fix: charge the speaker for about 4 hours after this happens before using it again.
3. Cannot Play Music from USB/TF Card
Cause: the storage path of the music file isn't recognized by the player.
Fix: store your audio files in the root directory of the USB drive or TF card, not inside nested folders.
4. No Sound When Connected to a Computer
Cause: the computer's audio interface is connected incorrectly.
Fix: on your computer, select the correct audio output port/device (i.e., select "Dash 10" as the active output).
5. No Response to Buttons / Functions in Disorder
Fix: shut the speaker down completely and try again. If the issue persists, use the reset procedure below.
6. Reset
When to use: if the speaker encounters an abnormal situation that button presses and restarts don't resolve.
Fix: press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to reset the device.
7. Wireless Microphone Won't Connect
- Power on the microphone — it automatically tries to reconnect to the last device it was paired with.
- If no device is found within 10 seconds, the mic enters pairing mode automatically.
- On the speaker, make sure it's powered on and not already paired with a different microphone or device.
- If it still won't connect, power-cycle both the speaker and the microphone, then retry.
8. Microphone Volume, Effects, or Modes Not Responding
Use the correct press type on the microphone:
| Control | Press | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Power | Press & hold | Power on/off |
| Power | Click | Adjust microphone/reverberation/accompaniment |
| Power | Double-click | Play/pause the song |
| "+" | Click | Turn up microphone volume/reverberation |
| "+" | Press & hold | Next song |
| "–" | Click | Turn down microphone volume/reverberation |
| "–" | Press & hold | Last song |
| EFF (mic mode) | Click | Cycle: Professional / Microphone / Male-to-female / Female-to-male / Warcraft voice |
| EFF (mic mode) | Double-click | Turn vowel effect on/off |
| EFF (mic mode) | Press & hold | Turn MC function on/off |
9. Bluetooth Pairing Issues
- Open your device's Bluetooth settings and search for "Dash 10."
- Check the speaker's on/off light: fast flashing = searching for pairing, solid on = paired, slow flashing (~1 sec) = actively playing.
- If it won't pair, make sure the speaker isn't already connected to another device, and retry from a closer distance (within 10m).
10. FM Radio Not Working
Insert the charging cable into the Type-C port to act as a radio antenna — the radio function requires this to work normally, since there's no separate dedicated antenna.
11. Mode Won't Switch as Expected
Mode switching follows this fixed sequence: Bluetooth → FM → TF → USB → AUX, with priority given to whichever media (TF card/USB drive) was inserted most recently. Short-press the Function Mode Switch button to step through modes, or short-press the Lightshow button, which also switches modes.
12. Volume or Power Issues
- Default startup volume is 70% — if it seems too loud or quiet immediately after power-on, this is expected behavior, not a fault.
- The speaker automatically shuts down after 15 minutes of inactivity to save power — press the power button to turn it back on.
- A prompt tone plays at maximum volume, and no tone plays at minimum volume — this is normal audio feedback, not an error.
