1. C-Konnect Is Not Detected

  1. Disconnect the adapter from the host device.
  2. Check the host USB-C port for dust, debris or damage.
  3. Reconnect the USB-C plug firmly.
  4. Try another compatible USB-C port if available.
  5. Test with another compatible device, if possible.
  6. If only one accessory does not work, check that accessory and its connection.

C-Konnect is designed to be plug and play and generally does not require a separate driver.

2. HDMI Display Shows No Image

  1. Check that the HDMI cable is connected securely to C-Konnect and the display.
  2. Select the correct HDMI input on the monitor, TV or projector.
  3. Confirm that the host device’s USB-C port supports video output.
  4. Open the host device’s display settings and look for the connected display.
  5. Try another compatible HDMI cable or display, if available.
  6. Reconnect C-Konnect and restart the display if needed.

Important: A USB-C port that supports charging or data does not necessarily support video output.

3. HDMI Image Is Not at the Expected Resolution

C-Konnect supports up to 4K × 2K at 30Hz. Actual output depends on the host device, display and HDMI cable.

  1. Check the maximum resolution supported by the host device.
  2. Check the display’s resolution and refresh-rate capabilities.
  3. Use an HDMI cable suitable for the required resolution.
  4. Open the host device’s display settings and select a supported resolution.
  5. If 4K at 30Hz is unavailable, try a lower supported resolution.

4. USB Device Is Not Detected

  1. Connect the accessory to C-Konnect’s USB 3.0 port.
  2. Confirm that the accessory is powered or has sufficient charge, if required.
  3. Disconnect and reconnect the accessory.
  4. Try another USB device to check whether the port is working.
  5. Try another compatible USB port on the host device, if available.

USB devices such as flash drives, keyboards, mice, cameras and external storage may be connected through the USB 3.0 port.

5. USB Data Transfer Is Slow

The USB 3.0 port supports transfer rates up to 5Gbps, but actual speeds depend on the source, target device, files and system.

  1. Check that the device is connected to the USB 3.0 port rather than the USB-C PD charging port.
  2. Confirm that the connected device supports USB 3.0/high-speed transfer.
  3. Try another high-quality compatible cable if the accessory requires one.
  4. Transfer a test file and compare performance with the accessory’s expected speed.

6. Laptop or Host Device Is Not Charging

  1. Connect C-Konnect to the host device.
  2. Connect a compatible USB-C PD charger to the adapter’s USB-C PD port.
  3. Check that the charger and USB-C cable support USB-C Power Delivery.
  4. Confirm that the host device supports charging through its USB-C port.
  5. Check whether the host’s charging indicator appears.
  6. Try a compatible charger and cable if available.

C-Konnect supports up to 100W PD pass-through charging when the connected equipment supports it. Actual charging power may be lower.

7. USB-C PD Port Does Not Transfer Data

This is expected. The adapter’s USB-C PD port is dedicated to pass-through charging.

  • Use the USB 3.0 port for USB data devices.
  • Use the HDMI port for video output.
  • Connect the USB-C PD charger to the dedicated PD port when charging the host device.

8. Projector or TV Does Not Display the Laptop Screen

  1. Connect the display to C-Konnect’s HDMI port.
  2. Select the correct HDMI input on the projector or TV.
  3. Check that the laptop’s USB-C port supports video output.
  4. Open display settings and choose Duplicate/Mirror or Extend mode.
  5. Reconnect the HDMI cable and adapter.
  6. Test with another compatible display if available.

9. Display or USB Connection Disconnects Intermittently

  1. Check that the USB-C plug is seated securely.
  2. Check the HDMI or USB accessory cable for damage.
  3. Avoid pulling or bending the adapter’s short cable.
  4. Disconnect unused accessories and test one device at a time.
  5. Check whether the issue occurs with another host device.

10. PD Charging and HDMI Do Not Work at the Same Time

  1. Confirm that the host USB-C port supports video output.
  2. Connect the display to the HDMI port.
  3. Connect the compatible PD charger to the dedicated USB-C PD port.
  4. Verify that the charger and cable support the required PD standard.
  5. Check the host’s display and charging indicators.

Not all host USB-C ports support the same set of features, so compatibility can vary by device.
