1. Otoscope Does Not Switch ON
- Connect the otoscope to a compatible 5V/0.5A power source.
- Allow approximately 30 minutes for charging.
- Disconnect the charging cable.
- Press and hold the power button.
- Check whether the blue indicator light flashes.
If the device still does not switch ON, try a known-working compatible power source and cable.
2. Blue Indicator Light Does Not Flash
- Check whether the otoscope has sufficient battery charge.
- Recharge the device using the supplied charging cable.
- Disconnect it from the charger.
- Press and hold the power button again.
- If the light still does not flash, stop using the device and contact support.
3. Xlife App Cannot Find the Otoscope
- Make sure the otoscope is switched ON.
- Confirm that its blue indicator light is flashing.
- Open your phone's Wi-Fi settings.
- Look for the otoscope network in the format
Xlife-XO-XXXXXX. - Select that network and wait for the phone to connect.
- Return to the Xlife app.
Do not try to connect the phone to a different Wi-Fi network while completing the initial otoscope connection.
4. Phone Is Connected to the Otoscope Wi-Fi but the App Shows No Image
- Confirm that the phone is connected to the otoscope's Wi-Fi network.
- Return to the Xlife app after connecting.
- Open the camera/live-view screen.
- Wait for the image to appear.
- If the image does not load, close and reopen the app.
- Switch the otoscope OFF and ON, then reconnect to its Wi-Fi.
The otoscope uses its own Wi-Fi for image transmission. A message that the connected network has no internet access can be normal.
5. Wi-Fi Connection Keeps Dropping
- Keep the smartphone close to the otoscope.
- Make sure the otoscope remains switched ON.
- Check that the phone has not switched to another Wi-Fi network.
- Re-select the otoscope network in Wi-Fi settings.
- Return to the Xlife app.
Use the device in a stable environment and avoid moving around while viewing the camera feed.
6. Camera Image Is Blurry or Unclear
- Check that the lens is clean.
- Gently wipe the lens with a professional alcohol cotton swab.
- Check that the lens is not damaged.
- Position the camera steadily and allow the image to come into focus.
- Avoid excessive movement while viewing the image.
Do not use sharp objects or abrasive materials to clean the lens.
7. LED Lights Do Not Illuminate
- Check whether the otoscope is switched ON.
- Check the battery level and recharge if required.
- Switch the device OFF and ON again.
- Reopen the Xlife app and check the live image.
If the lights remain off after charging and restarting, contact support.
8. Device Does Not Charge
- Switch OFF the otoscope.
- Use the supplied charging cable.
- Connect it to a compatible 5V/0.5A USB power source.
- Check that the charging connector is seated correctly.
- Allow approximately 30 minutes for charging.
- If it still does not charge, try another compatible power source.
Do not use a power source exceeding the specified input.
9. Battery Runs Out Quickly
The expected operating time is up to 30 minutes.
- Fully charge the otoscope before use.
- Switch OFF the device when it is not needed.
- Avoid leaving it switched ON after finishing.
- Recharge it if the battery becomes depleted.
Actual operating time depends on use and battery condition.
10. App Installation or Compatibility Issue
- Search for Xlife in the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Confirm that the smartphone meets the app's current operating-system requirements.
- Install or update the Xlife app.
- Turn ON the otoscope and connect to its Wi-Fi network.
- Return to the app and open the live view.
