1. Mouse Not Turning On
- Confirm the power switch is fully slid to either the 2.4G or BT position — not left in the middle or Off position.
- Charge the mouse for at least 30 minutes using the supplied Type-C cable, then retry. A fully drained battery can take a moment to respond after charging begins.
- Try a different Type-C cable and a DC 5V/1A power source in case the original cable or adaptor is faulty.
- Check for the red charging light while plugged in — if there's no light at all, the battery or charging circuit may need inspection.
2. Not Pairing / Not Found in Bluetooth List
- Make sure the power switch is set to BT, not 2.4G.
- Wait for the blue indicator to flash quickly — this signals the mouse is in pairing mode. If it only blinks once and turns off, it has already connected or timed out; long press the Mode button to re-enter pairing mode.
- Turn Bluetooth off and back on on your laptop/tablet/phone, then search again.
- Move the mouse within 1–2 metres of your device for initial pairing.
- Forget the "Toad Fold" entry from your device's Bluetooth settings and pair again from scratch.
- Restart both the mouse (switch off and on) and your device, then retry.
3. 2.4GHz Receiver Not Detected
- Confirm the power switch is set to 2.4G, not BT.
- Make sure the USB receiver is fully inserted into a working USB port — try a different port, and avoid USB hubs or extension cables where possible.
- Retrieve the receiver from the storage compartment beneath the mouse if it's still stored there — the mouse can't connect while the dongle isn't plugged in.
- If the mouse still isn't detected, use the manual pairing procedure: press and hold the middle button + right button together until the indicator flashes green, then wait for pairing to complete (red light stays on for 2 seconds, then turns off).
- Test the receiver in another USB port or another computer to rule out a port or driver issue.
4. Cursor Not Moving / Lagging
- Clean the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse — dust or debris can block tracking.
- Use the mouse on a matte, non-reflective surface; glass, glossy, or highly reflective surfaces can interfere with optical tracking.
- Check the battery level and charge if low — reduced power can cause tracking lag.
- Move away from other wireless devices, routers, or USB 3.0 hubs, which can cause 2.4GHz interference.
- Re-seat the USB receiver, or disconnect and reconnect the Bluetooth pairing.
- Confirm the mouse isn't still in sleep mode — click or move it firmly to wake it.
5. Buttons or Scroll Wheel Not Responding
- Make sure the mouse is fully unfolded to its working position — a partially folded mouse can misalign internal contacts.
- Check that the correct connection mode is active and paired (see sections 2 and 3).
- Restart the mouse by switching it off and back on.
- If only specific buttons are unresponsive, check your device's mouse settings/driver for any custom button remapping that could be interfering.
6. DPI Not Changing
- DPI cycles through 4 preset levels (1200 / 1600 / 2400 / 3200) — confirm you're using the correct DPI button and watch for the LED flash count to verify the new setting (1 flash = 1200 DPI, up to 4 flashes = 3200 DPI).
- Make sure the mouse is actively connected — DPI changes may not register if the connection has dropped.
- Restart the mouse and retry.
7. Mouse Not Charging
- Use a good-quality DC 5V/1A adaptor and the supplied Type-C cable — under-rated chargers may charge very slowly or not at all.
- Confirm the red light turns on when charging starts; it turns off automatically once fully charged. No light at all suggests a cable, adaptor, or port issue.
- Try a different Type-C cable and power source to isolate the fault.
- Avoid charging in extreme temperatures outside the rated operating range (0°C to 45°C), which can affect charging behaviour.
8. Battery Drains Quickly
- Confirm sleep mode is functioning — the mouse should power down its connection and LED after 10 minutes of inactivity. If it isn't entering sleep mode, battery will drain much faster than expected.
- Charge the mouse fully (approx. 2 hours) and monitor how quickly it depletes with normal use.
- Extreme temperatures (below 0°C or above 45°C) can affect battery performance — use and store within the rated conditions.
- If the mouse is rarely used, charge it periodically anyway to help maintain long-term battery health.
9. Mouse Not Waking from Sleep Mode
- Click a button or move the mouse firmly on a flat surface to wake it — small or slow movements may not register.
- Check the battery level; a critically low battery can prevent wake-up. Charge and retry.
- Re-seat the USB receiver (2.4GHz mode) or toggle Bluetooth off/on (BT mode) to refresh the connection.
- Switch the mouse off and back on to force a full reconnect.
10. Connection Keeps Dropping
- Stay within the rated wireless range — up to 10 metres — with minimal obstructions between the mouse and your device.
- Move away from other 2.4GHz/Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi routers, and USB 3.0 hubs, which can cause interference.
- Check the battery level — low battery can cause intermittent disconnects.
- For 2.4GHz mode, try a different USB port, ideally one directly on the computer rather than through a hub.
- Re-pair the connection from scratch using the steps in the Complete Guide.
