Section A: How to Connect via 2.4 GHz USB Receiver

Step 1: Power ON the Mouse

• Switch the mouse to 2.4G mode.
• Ensure the mouse is sufficiently charged.

Step 2: Insert the USB Receiver

• Insert the USB receiver into your laptop/PC.
• The mouse will connect automatically (plug & play).

Step 3: Confirmation

• Move the mouse to verify cursor movement.
• If not working, try another USB port.

Section B: How to Connect via Bluetooth

Step 1: Power ON the Mouse

• Switch the mouse to BT mode.

Step 2: Select Bluetooth Mode

• Press the circular button to switch between modes:
  • Toad 7 → Green Indicator
  • Toad 7 Plus → Blue Indicator

Step 3: Activate Pairing Mode

• Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button for 2–5 seconds.
• The LED indicator will start blinking, indicating pairing mode.

Step 4: Enable Bluetooth on Your Device

For Windows:

• Go to Settings → Bluetooth & Devices
• Turn Bluetooth ON
• Click Add Device → Bluetooth
• Select Portronics Toad 7 / Toad 7 Plus
• Click Connect

For macOS:

• Open System Settings → Bluetooth
• Turn Bluetooth ON
• Select Portronics Toad 7 / Toad 7 Plus
• Click Connect

Step 5: Connection Confirmation

• Once connected, the LED indicator becomes stable.
• The cursor will respond to movement.

Section C: Charging Instructions

• Use the provided Type-C cable to charge the mouse.
• The LED turns green while charging and turns OFF once fully charged.
• Full charging time is approximately 2.5 hours.

Issue 1: Mouse Not Connecting (Bluetooth)

• Ensure pairing mode is active (blinking LED).
• Restart Bluetooth on your device.
• Turn the mouse OFF and ON again.
• Ensure sufficient battery charge.

Issue 2: Mouse Not Working (2.4 GHz Mode)

• Reinsert the USB receiver.
• Try a different USB port.
• Restart your system.

Issue 3: Frequent Disconnection

• Maintain usage within up to 10 meters range.
• Fully charge the mouse.
• Remove and reconnect the device.

Issue 4: Cursor Lag or Delay

• Keep the mouse closer to your device.
• Avoid reflective or glass surfaces.
• Close background applications.
• Check battery level.

Issue 5: Mouse Not Charging

• Ensure the Type-C cable is properly connected.
• Try a different charging adapter or port.

Section F: Care & Maintenance

• Switch OFF the mouse before cleaning.
• Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
• Do not use chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Do not allow liquid to enter the device.
