2. Headphone Won't Turn On

  1. Long-press the Power Button — a short press won't switch it on.
  2. Connect the supplied USB-C cable to a 5V DC adapter and charge for at least 30–60 minutes; a full charge takes 3–4 hours.
  3. Watch the LED while charging: solid red means it's charging, off means fully charged. If there's no LED activity at all on a known-working charger and cable, this points to a hardware fault — contact support.

3. Pairing Issues

  1. Long-press the Power Button until the LED flashes red and blue — this confirms Pairing Mode is active. Pairing Mode also triggers automatically the first time you power on, or after a previous disconnect.
  2. On your phone or laptop, forget any existing "Muffs M8" entry in Bluetooth settings, then search again and select it fresh.
  3. Muffs M8 supports dual pairing — it can stay linked to two devices at once, so check whether it's already connected to a different phone or laptop first.
  4. Stay within the 10m range of the source device — walls and interference can reduce reliable range.

4. Active Noise Cancellation Not Working

  1. Single-press the ANC Button to toggle it on.
  2. Check the ANC LED — solid green means ANC is on; no light means it's off.
  3. If the LED shows ANC is on but you don't notice a difference, make sure the ear cushions are creating a full seal around your ears, since ANC performance depends partly on physical fit.
  4. If the ANC LED doesn't respond to the button at all, this points to a hardware fault — contact support.

5. No Sound or Poor Audio Quality

  1. Confirm the LED shows solid blue (connected), not off (powered down) or flashing (pairing mode/low battery).
  2. Increase the volume with a single press of "+".
  3. On your phone or laptop, check that Muffs M8 is selected as the active audio output device.
  4. If using the AUX cable, confirm it's fully seated at both ends, and that Bluetooth is turned off on the source device if it's conflicting with AUX playback.

6. Call & Microphone Issues

Use the Multi-Function Button with the correct press type:

ActionPress
Answer/end a callSingle press
Reject an incoming callPress & hold
Redial last numberPress & hold twice quickly
Toggle voice assistantPress 3 times

If the other party can't hear you clearly, check that nothing is covering the microphone and that you're within the 10m Bluetooth range of your phone.

7. AUX Mode Issues

  • Reseat the 3.5mm AUX cable firmly at both the headphone and the source device.
  • Check the source device's own volume and mute status — AUX mode is passive and isn't affected by the headphone's Bluetooth volume controls.
  • ANC can still be used in AUX mode by pressing the ANC Button, independent of the audio source.

8. Battery Draining Faster Than Expected

  • Confirm you're charging with the supplied USB-C cable — a full charge should take 3–4 hours.
  • Working time of up to 50 hours assumes ANC off at moderate volume; using ANC continuously will reduce battery life.
  • If battery life has dropped noticeably compared to when new, this is typically normal battery aging over time.
