1. Quick Reference Table
| Problem | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Speaker won't turn on | Power switch not slid fully, or battery discharged | Slide the tonearm stylus switch fully to "CD"; charge via Type-C if needed |
| Won't pair over Bluetooth | Not in pairing mode | Power on fresh to trigger the pairing "beep," or check it's not already paired elsewhere |
| Wireless charging not working | Phone not wireless-charging capable, adapter underpowered, or on battery mode | Confirm your phone supports Qi wireless charging; use a 25W+ adapter — charging does not work on battery-only mode |
| No FM reception | Antenna cable not connected | Plug the charging cable into the Type-C port to act as the antenna |
| TF card / USB won't play | Media not seated, or unsupported format | Reinsert the card/drive and wait for the voice prompt confirming playback |
| Alarm won't stop ringing | Wrong button pressed | Press the Alarm button specifically (not Menu or Clock) to stop it |
| TWS won't link two speakers | Clock button not pressed correctly | Short-press the Clock button twice on each unit to activate TWS mode |
| Clock resets or shows wrong time | Power interrupted, or 12/24-hour mode confusion | Re-set the time via the Clock button; check whether you're in 12-hour (AM/PM shown) or 24-hour mode |
2. Speaker Won't Turn On
- Slide the power/tonearm stylus switch fully to the "CD" position — a partial slide won't register.
- Check for the colourful RGB light effect on the platter, which confirms power-on.
- If nothing happens, connect the Type-C cable to a 25W (or higher) adapter and charge for at least 30–60 minutes before retrying.
- If it still won't turn on after charging, this may point to a hardware fault — contact support.
3. Won't Pair Over Bluetooth
- Power on the speaker — the first time (or after a reset), you should hear a "beep" confirming pairing mode.
- On your phone, open Bluetooth settings, search for devices, and select "Portronics Sound Flow."
- Listen for the confirmation tone once connected — if you don't hear it, the pairing likely didn't complete; retry.
- Stay within the 10m transmission range during pairing.
- If it won't reconnect to a previously paired phone, forget the device on your phone and pair fresh.
4. Wireless Charging Pad Not Working
- Confirm your phone or device actually supports Qi wireless charging — not all phones do.
- Place the phone flat and centred on the charging pad; look for the white charging symbol on Sound Flow's screen.
- Power Sound Flow itself via the Type-C port with a 25W or higher adapter — wireless charging output depends on adequate input power.
- If the charging symbol never appears, try a different wireless-charging-capable device to rule out an issue with your phone.
5. FM Radio Not Working
- Connect the charging cable to the Type-C port — this doubles as the FM antenna. The other end doesn't need to be connected to anything.
- Press and hold the Menu button to switch into FM mode.
- Short-press the Menu button to trigger automatic channel search and save.
- Use Previous/Next to browse between saved channels.
6. TF Card or USB Won't Play
- Insert the Micro SD card or USB drive fully into its slot/port.
- Wait for the voice prompt confirming the device is reading the files — playback should then begin automatically.
- Use Previous/Next to control playback once music starts.
- If nothing plays, check that the files are in a commonly supported audio format, and test the card/drive in another device to rule out corruption.
7. Alarm or Clock Issues
- Alarm won't stop ringing: press the Alarm button specifically — this is the same button used to set the alarm, marked with an alarm/clock icon, not the Menu or Clock button.
- Wrong time displayed: short-press the Clock button to re-enter time setting mode, use Previous/Next to correct the hour/minute, then short-press Clock to confirm.
- AM/PM not showing, or showing unexpectedly: this depends on whether you're in 12-hour or 24-hour mode — short-press Clock to enter time setting, long-press to toggle between 12/24-hour display, then short-press twice to confirm.
- Sleep timer not behaving as expected: after setting the time, press and hold the Clock button repeatedly — 1 press = L15, 2 = L30, 3 = L60, 4 = OFF. Watch the display to confirm which setting is currently shown.
8. TWS (Two-Speaker) Mode Won't Link
- Make sure you have two Sound Flow units, both powered on and from the same batch.
- On each speaker, short-press the Clock button twice to activate TWS mode.
- The two speakers should connect to each other automatically once both are in TWS mode.
- If they don't link, power-cycle both units and repeat the steps.
9. RGB Lights or White Noise Not Working
- RGB lights: double-press the Menu button to cycle through LED light modes on the platter.
- White noise: long-press the Menu button to switch into white noise mode, then short-press Previous/Next to choose a sound. If nothing plays, confirm the speaker isn't muted and try adjusting volume via your paired device.
10. General Safety Reminders
- Keep the speaker away from liquid, moisture, and humidity.
- Avoid extreme heat or cold, which can shorten component life and distort plastic parts.
- Never dispose of the device in fire.
- Avoid contact with sharp objects that could scratch or damage the unit.
- Keep volume at a safe listening level to avoid hearing damage over time.
