Sound effects not changingWrong button pressedShort-press the M button to cycle Karaoke/Professional/Speech/Original Sound
Power/output feels weakBattery below 30%, or charging while in useThis is expected — power is auto-reduced below 30% battery, and while charging, to protect the battery

2. Microphone Won't Turn On

  1. Long-press the Power button for a full 2 seconds — a short press won't register.
  2. Connect the Type-C cable to charge — a full charge takes about 3.5 hours at 5V/1A.
  3. Watch for the red charging indicator; it turns off once fully charged.
  4. Avoid charging in sub-zero temperatures, as this can damage the battery and may cause charging issues.
  5. If it still won't turn on after a full charge, this may point to a hardware fault — contact support.

3. Won't Pair Over Bluetooth

  1. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and search for "Dash 2."
  2. Listen for the voice prompt "Bluetooth connected" and a light indication confirming success.
  3. Dash 2 automatically reconnects to the most recently used device — if you want to pair with a different device, short-press the Bluetooth icon twice to disconnect the current connection first.
  4. If it won't reconnect at all, power-cycle the microphone and try again.
  1. Confirm both Dash 2 units are powered on.
  2. Long-press the Bluetooth icon on both microphones at the same time for 3 seconds — both should prompt "searching for connection," then "TWS channel" once paired.
  3. Once linked, both power button lights stop twinkling. Whichever mic is connected to your device becomes the master.
  4. Check the batch/date code on both units — TWS pairing is only guaranteed between two Dash 2 microphones from the same production batch. If pairing consistently fails between two otherwise-identical units, mismatched batches are a likely cause; contact support to confirm compatibility.
  5. Remember: in TWS mode, powering off one microphone powers off the other automatically — this is expected, not a fault.
  6. To reset, long-press the Bluetooth icon for 3 seconds on either mic to disconnect, then repeat the pairing steps.

5. AUX Mode Issues

  1. Insert the AUX cable to connect the microphone to your device, and insert 3.5mm headphones into the microphone's headphone port — both connections are required.
  2. Remember AUX mode is for voice recording and only supports the original sound effect — other sound modes won't apply here.
  3. If you expected sound through the microphone itself, that's not how this mode works — audio only plays through the headphones in AUX mode.
  4. Unplugging the AUX cable automatically switches the microphone back to Bluetooth mode.

6. Headphone Mode Issues

  1. Power on the microphone and connect it via Bluetooth first.
  2. Insert 3.5mm headphones into the headphone port.
  3. Remember that in this mode, audio and singing play through the headphones instead of the microphone — this is expected, not a fault.

7. FM Transmitter Not Working

  1. Power on the microphone.
  2. Long-press the M button for 2 seconds to activate the FM transmitter.
  3. Long-press M repeatedly to cycle through the 3 available frequencies (87.9MHz, 88.5MHz, 89.7MHz).
  4. On the receiving device (car FM or other radio), tune to the exact same frequency the microphone is broadcasting on — only one match is possible at a time.
  5. If reception is poor, try a different one of the 3 frequencies in case of local interference.

8. Sound Effects or Lighting Not Changing

  • Sound effects: short-press the M button to cycle through Karaoke, Professional, Speech, and Original Sound.
  • Voice cancelling: long-press the Voice Cancel icon for 2 seconds to suppress vocals, and long-press again to restore them.
  • LED lighting: short-press the Light icon to cycle through flow, breathing, nightlight, and rhythm modes; long-press for 2 seconds to turn lighting on/off entirely.

9. Charging & Battery Issues

  • The microphone announces "battery low" every 5 minutes once under 10%, with red flashing lights — charge immediately.
  • Use a good-quality 5V/1A adaptor for charging.
  • Don't use the microphone while it's charging — output power is intentionally lower in this state.
  • Below 30% battery, output power is automatically reduced to protect the battery and prevent voice distortion — this is expected, not a fault.
  • If unused for a long period, charge at least once a month to prevent battery damage.

10. General Safety Reminders

  • Avoid extremely cold or hot environments.
  • Avoid dropping the microphone or hitting it against hard objects.
  • Avoid excessive or prolonged charging, which can shorten battery lifetime.
  • Keep the volume at a reasonable level to avoid disturbing others.
