2. Speaker Won't Turn On

  1. Check the rear Power Switch is set to ON.
  2. Connect the AC IN port to mains power (110–240V) to charge the internal 12V/8000mAh battery.
  3. On power-up, listen for the voice prompt and check the display shows HI, then BT — this confirms it's starting normally.
  4. If there's no response at all after charging, this may point to a hardware fault — contact support.

3. Bluetooth Won't Connect

  1. Power on the speaker — the display should show BT.
  2. On your phone, enable Bluetooth and search for the speaker by name.
  3. If it won't connect, long-press SCAN/PLAY to disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth without clearing the pairing history, then try pairing again.
  4. If it still won't pair, this may be a deeper connection issue — power-cycle the speaker and retry from scratch.
  1. Turn both speakers ON and set both to Bluetooth (BT) mode.
  2. Short-press the TWS button on either unit — the units should auto-pair, confirmed by a voice prompt.
  3. Check the batch/date code on both units — TWS pairing is only guaranteed between two Iron Beats 5 Prime speakers from the same production batch. If pairing consistently fails between two otherwise-identical units, mismatched batches are a likely cause; contact support to confirm compatibility.
  4. Remember: powering a speaker OFF and back ON disables TWS by design — you'll need to re-pair every time this happens, which is expected, not a fault.

5. USB Playback or Recording Issues

  1. Use a FAT32-formatted USB drive — other formats may not be read correctly.
  2. Stick to common audio formats such as MP3 for best compatibility.
  3. Press MODE to cycle to USB (it only appears as an option once a drive is inserted).
  4. Recording only works while in Bluetooth (BT) mode — long-press REC to start (display blinks REC), long-press again to stop.
  5. To play back the latest recording, short-press REC; short-press again to exit playback.
  6. To delete a recording, play it back first, then long-press PLAY (SCAN/PLAY) while it's playing.

6. No Sound from Microphone or Guitar

  1. Confirm the mic or guitar is plugged into the correct input (MIC or GUITAR) on the back panel.
  2. Adjust the dedicated MIC or GUITAR volume knob — these are separate from the main speaker volume.
  3. For microphone reverb, adjust the ECHO control on the back panel.
  4. If using the wireless UHF mic, confirm it has power and is within range of the speaker.

7. FM Radio Not Working

  1. Press MODE to switch to FM — the display should confirm.
  2. Long-press SCAN/PLAY to auto-scan and save available stations.
  3. Use CH−/CH+ to step through the saved stations once scanning completes.
  4. If reception is poor, try repositioning the speaker, as FM reception can be affected by location.

8. Vocal Cancel, Bass Boost, or Mic Priority Not Working

  • Vocal Cancel (karaoke): long-press MODE to toggle — the display shows VOC (ON) or OFF to confirm the current state.
  • Bass Boost: available in BT/AUX/USB modes — short-press the BASS/BOOST button, and check the display shows BASS (ON) or OFF.
  • Mic Priority (ducking): long-press LED to toggle — the display shows SHUN (ON) or OFF. When ON, music automatically lowers under mic input.

If a feature doesn't seem to engage, check the display message first to confirm whether it's actually toggled on or off — sometimes the intended effect is subtle at lower volumes.

9. Battery & Charging Issues

  • Charge via AC IN (110–240V mains) — this also allows you to run the speaker while charging.
  • For the longest battery lifespan, avoid fully depleting the battery repeatedly, and store the speaker charged when not in use for extended periods.
  • If the speaker won't hold a charge or won't charge at all, try a different mains outlet before assuming a hardware fault.
