| Charging fails through a case | Try a case thinner than 4mm or remove the case |
1. Phone Does Not Start Wireless Charging
- Check that the Type-C cable is fully connected to the charger.
- Confirm the other end is connected to a working wall adapter or car charging adapter.
- Make sure your phone supports Qi wireless charging and is compatible with the magnetic charging area.
- Place the phone on the centre of the charger and adjust its alignment.
- Remove coins, keys, cards, pins and other metal objects from the charger.
- Check the phone for its charging indicator.
2. Charging Is Slower Than Expected
Wireless output depends on phone and adapter compatibility.
- Check that the phone supports the desired wireless charging speed.
- Use a compatible USB-C PD adapter rated 30W or higher for optimum performance.
- In a car, use a compatible PD 3.0 car charger.
- Align the phone carefully with the charging area.
- If using a case, confirm it is thinner than 4mm and compatible with wireless charging.
Zyron supports output levels up to 25W, but not every phone or adapter can use the maximum output.
3. Phone Does Not Hold Magnetically
- Confirm that your phone supports magnetic attachment or use a compatible magnetic case/accessory.
- Check whether the phone case is too thick or contains objects that interfere with alignment.
- Remove any metal plate, card or other object between the phone and charger.
- Place the phone centrally on the magnetic charging area.
- Do not rely on the magnetic hold if the phone is not securely attached.
4. Charging Starts and Stops Repeatedly
- Reposition the phone so it is correctly aligned with the charging area.
- Remove metal objects from between the phone and charger.
- Check that the Type-C cable is firmly connected and not damaged.
- Confirm that the adapter provides suitable power.
- If using a car mount, check that the charger and mount are not shaking or moving excessively.
5. Charger Does Not Power On
- Check that the Type-C cable is securely connected to the charger.
- Check the adapter and power outlet or car charging port.
- Use a compatible certified adapter; a 30W or higher USB-C PD adapter is recommended for optimum performance.
- Try a known-working compatible cable or power source if available.
- Stop using the charger if the cable or connector is visibly damaged.
6. Car Mount Is Loose
- Park the car safely before making adjustments.
- Check that the adjustment nut is secured to the mount.
- Confirm that the air-vent clip is attached properly to the vent.
- Make sure the charger is slid onto the mount in the correct direction, following the alignment marking.
- Adjust the viewing angle, then tighten the adjustment nut.
- Check the complete setup is secure before driving.
Do not install the charger where it blocks the driver's view of the road or interferes with vehicle controls.
7. Phone Stand Is Unstable
- Remove the phone from the charger.
- Slide the phone stand mount onto the back of the charger.
- Confirm that the mount is attached securely.
- Place the stand on a flat, stable surface.
- Reposition the cable so it does not pull the stand over.
8. Charger Becomes Unusually Hot
- Disconnect the charger from power immediately.
- Remove the phone from the charging surface.
- Let the charger cool down before handling or using it again.
- Check that the adapter is compatible and the cable is undamaged.
- Remove any metal objects from the charging area.
- Do not continue using the charger if unusual heating returns.
9. Charging Does Not Work in the Car
- Check that the cable is connected securely to the charger and car charging adapter.
- Make sure the car adapter provides suitable power.
- Use a compatible PD 3.0 car charger for fast charging.
- Reposition the phone on the magnetic charging area.
- Check whether charging begins using a compatible wall adapter to help identify whether the issue is with the car adapter or setup.
10. Phone Case Prevents Charging
- Check that the case supports wireless charging and magnetic alignment.
- Try a case thinner than 4mm.
- Remove metal accessories, cards or plates from between the phone and charger.
- Place the phone centrally on the charging area.
11. Charger Does Not Fit the Air Vent
- Confirm that the universal air-vent clip is fully attached to the air-vent clip mount.
- Loosen the adjustment nut before changing the angle.
- Fit the clip onto a suitable vent.
- Adjust the angle and tighten the nut.
- Do not force the clip into a vent that is unsuitable or does not hold it securely.
