2. Connectivity Issues

If your car display isn't connecting with Android Auto/CarPlay after setup, or connectivity is unreliable:

  1. Factory reset your car's display.
  2. Remove the car's Bluetooth pairing from your mobile.
  3. On iOS: Settings → General → CarPlay → Paired.
  4. On Android: Settings → Connections → Android Auto → Vehicle.
  5. Plug Tune Prime into the data port of your car and wait for 2–3 minutes.

Only Android Auto Supported Displays: If your car display supports only Android Auto and you're facing connectivity issues after the reset process:

  1. Insert an internet-accessible SIM card into the device and plug it into power.
  2. Wait 10 minutes for the device to get updated automatically.
  3. Unplug from power after 10 minutes, and plug it into your data port.
  4. Wait 2–3 minutes, and the Tune Prime gets configured with your display.

3. Switching Between CarPlay and Android Auto

If the device is stuck on the wrong mode (CarPlay vs. Android Auto):

  1. Take a SIM ejector/pin.
  2. Long-press the A/C button for 2–3 seconds and release.
  3. The indicator flashes blue and becomes stable once paired — confirming the switch.
  4. Repeat the same steps to switch back to CarPlay.

Refer to the LED indicator to confirm current mode:

Option 2 (Software)Settings → More → System → Reset option → Erase all data

5. Display Shows Blank Screen on OTT Apps

If the screen goes completely blank when using OTT apps like JioHotstar:

  1. Go to Settings → More → Display → Display Size & Text.
  2. Reduce your display size accordingly.

6. OTT Apps / YouTube Not Working

If YouTube or other OTT platforms won't work while paired via SpeedPlay:

  • This is expected behavior without a SIM card inserted — YouTube and other OTT platforms will not work at the same time as Android Auto/CarPlay in this configuration.
  • Insert a nano SIM card into the device to enable internet access independently of your phone's hotspot; with a SIM card installed, these applications will perform normally.

7. General Setup Reminders (Preventing Issues)

  • Only wired Android Auto/CarPlay–supporting cars with an original display are compatible. Third-party displays/software are not supported.
  • Do not connect your mobile's Bluetooth directly to the car's stereo/display — this can interfere with the wired connection Tune Prime relies on.
  • The Type-C converter should be connected to the car's data port — not directly to the Tune Prime device.
  • Input is 5V/1A — do not plug the device into a charging port.
  • Do not operate or adjust the device while driving; stop the vehicle safely first.
  • Don't drop or expose the device to extreme heat or water.
  • Ensure the SIM and micro SD card are inserted in the correct orientation, with the copper plate facing upwards.
