2. Headphone Won't Turn On

  1. Long-press the Multi-Function Button for 3 seconds — a short press won't switch it on.
  2. Connect the supplied USB-C cable to charge; a full charge takes approximately 2–2.5 hours.
  3. Watch the charging LED while charging: solid red means it's charging, off means fully charged. If there's no LED activity at all on a known-working charger and cable, this points to a hardware fault — contact support.
  4. Use a charger that has passed the relevant national safety certification.

3. Pairing Issues

  1. Long-press the Multi-Function Button for 3 seconds until the LED flashes blue and red — this confirms it's powering on / in Pairing Mode.
  2. On your phone or laptop, activate Bluetooth, search for available devices, and select "MUFFS M5" from the list.
  3. Make sure your device is switched on and within 1 metre of the headset during the initial pairing.
  4. Muffs M5 supports dual pairing — it can stay linked to two devices at once, so check whether it's already connected to a different phone or laptop first.
  5. After the first successful pairing, the headset should automatically reconnect to the last-used phone when powered on — if it doesn't, turn the headset off and on again and repeat the pairing steps.
  6. Stay within the 10m Bluetooth range of the source device — walls and interference can reduce reliable range.

4. Active Noise Cancellation Not Working

  1. Single-press the ANC Button to toggle ANC On/Off (Transparency mode).
  2. Double-press the ANC Button to switch to Adaptive noise reduction mode instead.
  3. If you don't notice a difference, make sure the ear cushions are creating a full seal around your ears, since ANC performance depends partly on physical fit.
  4. Remember ANC works over both Bluetooth and AUX — it's controlled independently by the ANC Button either way.
  5. If the ANC Button doesn't respond at all, this points to a hardware fault — contact support.

5. No Sound or Poor Audio Quality

  1. Confirm the LED shows solid blue (connected), not off (powered down) or flashing (powering on/pairing).
  2. Increase the volume with a single click of "+".
  3. On your phone or laptop, check that Muffs M5 is selected as the active audio output device.
  4. If using the AUX cable, confirm it's fully seated at both the headphone and source ends, and note that the Bluetooth connection function cannot be used at the same time as a wired AUX connection.

6. Call & Microphone Issues

Use the Multi-Function Button with the correct press type:

ActionPress
Answer a callSingle click
Hang up a callSingle click
Reject an incoming callDouble click

If the other party can't hear you clearly, check that nothing is covering the microphones and that you're within the 10m Bluetooth range of your phone.

7. AUX Mode Issues

  • Reseat the 3.5mm AUX cable firmly at both the headphone's Audio Jack and the source device.
  • If the source device doesn't have a 3.5mm port, use an appropriate audio adapter, or connect via Bluetooth instead.
  • Check the source device's own volume and mute status.
  • Remember that while the AUX cable is connected, the Bluetooth connection function cannot be used at the same time.
  • ANC can still be used in AUX mode via the ANC Button, independent of the audio source.

8. Mode Switching Not Working

  1. Double-click the Multi-Function Button to cycle between Music, Gaming, and Movie modes.
  2. A single click plays/pauses music or answers/ends calls — make sure you're double-clicking, not single-clicking, to change modes.

9. Battery Draining Faster Than Expected

  • Confirm you're charging with the supplied USB-C cable and a certified charger — a full charge should take approximately 2–2.5 hours.
  • Working time of up to 50 hours assumes moderate use; using ANC continuously, higher volumes, or Gaming/Movie mode more often can reduce battery life.
  • If battery life has dropped noticeably compared to when new, this is typically normal battery aging over time.
