1. Quick Reference Table
| Problem | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Won't turn on | Battery discharged | Charge via the Type-C port and press the Power button |
| Won't pair over Bluetooth | Wrong mode selected | Press the Function Mode Switch (M) to cycle to Wireless/Bluetooth mode, then search again on your phone |
| No sound from wired mic | Mic not plugged into the correct port | Confirm the mic is plugged into the Mic Microphone Interface, not AUX |
| TF card / USB drive won't play | Media inserted after mode was set, or unsupported format | Insert the card/drive, then press M to select TF or USB mode |
| AUX connected but no sound | Wrong mode selected, or cable not seated | Press M to select AUX mode; reseat the cable at both ends |
| Volume buttons not working | Wrong press type used | Long press to change volume; short press changes track instead |
| Distorted or crackling sound | Volume too high, or Bluetooth interference | Lower the volume; move closer to the paired device |
2. Speaker Won't Turn On
- Press the Power button — check for a power tone or light if the unit has one.
- Connect the Type-C cable to charge the speaker; the built-in 2000mAh battery needs charging if fully discharged.
- If there's still no response after charging, this may point to a hardware fault — contact support.
3. Won't Pair Over Bluetooth
- Press the Function Mode Switch (M) to cycle through modes until Wireless/Bluetooth mode is selected.
- On your phone, open Bluetooth settings, search for devices, and select "Rumble."
- Stay within the 10m range during pairing, and make sure the speaker isn't already connected to another device.
- If it still won't appear, power-cycle the speaker and try again.
4. Wired Karaoke Mic Not Working
- Confirm the mic's cable is plugged into the Mic Microphone Interface, not the AUX port — these are separate ports and easy to mix up.
- Check the mic's own volume/mute controls if it has any.
- If there's still no sound through the mic, test with a different wired mic if available to rule out a cable issue.
5. TF Card or USB Drive Won't Play
- Insert the TF card or USB drive into its port before or after selecting the mode — if nothing happens, remove and reinsert it.
- Press the Function Mode Switch (M) to select TF or USB mode as appropriate.
- Use the Pause/Play button to start playback if it doesn't begin automatically.
- Check that audio files are in a commonly supported format, and test the card/drive in another device if it still won't play.
6. AUX Mode Not Working
- Connect a 3.5mm audio cable between your device's headphone/output jack and the AUX port on Rumble.
- Press M to cycle to AUX mode.
- Check the volume on the source device itself, since AUX is a passive connection not controlled by Rumble's own volume buttons.
7. Volume or Track Controls Not Responding as Expected
| Action | Press |
|---|---|
| Previous track | Short press |
| Next track | Short press |
| Decrease volume | Long press (previous track button) |
| Increase volume | Long press (next track button) |
| Pause/Play | Short press |
A common mix-up: pressing briefly when you meant to hold, or vice versa — track and volume share the same two buttons, distinguished only by press length.
8. Distorted, Crackling, or Weak Sound
- Lower the volume — Rumble's rated distortion is under 1% at normal listening levels, but very high volumes can introduce distortion.
- If connected via Bluetooth, move closer to your phone or other source device and remove obstructions, since interference at the edge of the 10m range can affect audio quality.
- If using AUX, USB, or TF card, check the source file or cable for quality issues.
9. Charging Issues
- Use only the supplied Type-C cable for charging.
- A full charge should provide up to 5 hours of playback, depending on volume and usage.
- If the speaker won't charge at all, try a different cable or power source before assuming a hardware fault.
