1. Audio Still Plays Through the Phone

  1. Check whether OTG is enabled in your phone's settings, if available.
  2. Close all music and media apps completely.
  3. Connect the Conch One Type-C connector fully.
  4. Restart the media app and test playback again.

If possible, test with another device that supports Type-C audio.

2. Call Audio Does Not Route Through the Earphones

Some phone systems may require you to manually answer the call on the phone to route audio through the earphones.

  1. Connect Conch One to the phone.
  2. Answer the incoming call from the phone screen.
  3. Check the call's audio output selection.
  4. Confirm that the earphone is selected for call audio, if the phone offers an output selector.

3. No Sound From the Earphones or Microphone

  1. Make sure the earbuds are inserted and the Type-C connector is fully connected.
  2. Check that the phone's volume and media settings are not muted.
  3. Remove a thick phone case if it prevents the connector from fitting completely.
  4. Try another compatible Type-C device if available.
  5. Check for dirt or debris around the earphone connector and sound outlets.

4. Sound Is Low or Only One Earbud Works

  1. Adjust the angle and position of the left and right earbuds.
  2. Check the earbud sound outlets for dirt or debris.
  3. Inspect the Type-C connector and phone port.
  4. Carefully clean any visible debris and reconnect.

Do not force the connector into the device.

5. Karaoke Effects Are Not Changing

  1. Long-press the M button to switch to Karaoke Mode.
  2. Short-press the M button to cycle through the eight karaoke effects.
  3. If you have not pressed M for a few seconds, the first press announces the current mode; the second press changes to the next mode.
  4. Use “+” and “−” to adjust the karaoke return level.

6. Listening / EQ Mode Is Not Changing

  1. Long-press the M button to switch to Listening Mode.
  2. Short-press M to cycle through HD, Bass, Cinema Surround and Game modes.
  3. If the first press only announces the current mode, press M again to change modes.

7. Microphone Recording Sounds Wrong

Double-click the Microphone Button to switch between:

  • Dry Recording: no echo, clearer sound.
  • Wet Recording: echo/reverb effect.

Try both settings and use the one that best suits your recording.

8. Microphone Is Not Picking Up Voice Clearly

  1. Check that the microphone is connected and positioned correctly.
  2. For hands-free use, adjust the microphone along the connecting line so it sits at a comfortable distance.
  3. For handheld use, detach the microphone and hold it at a suitable distance from your mouth.
  4. Check microphone/karaoke return level in Karaoke Mode.

9. Music or Call Controls Are Not Working

Use the functions specified in the manual:

  • Play / Pause: short-press the Multi-Function Button once.
  • Answer / End call: short-press the Multi-Function Button once.
  • Reject call: long-press the Multi-Function Button.
  • Next song: double-click the Multi-Function Button.
  • Previous song: triple-click the Multi-Function Button.

10. Type-C Connector Does Not Fit or Connect Reliably

  1. Check the Type-C connector and device port for dust or debris.
  2. Remove a phone case if it blocks full insertion.
  3. Connect the earphones carefully without forcing the plug.
  4. Confirm that the phone, tablet or computer supports Type-C audio.
