Section A: Connecting via 2.4 GHz USB Receiver

Step 1: Switch the Toggle Mode

Slide the toggle switch (located on the back side of the keyboard) to BT Mode to power on the keyboard.

Step 2: Insert the USB Receiver

Insert the USB receiver (dongle) into the USB port of your laptop or desktop.

Step 3: Connect Using RF Key

Press Fn + R (where RF is indicated on the keyboard).

The keyboard will automatically connect via the 2.4 GHz USB receiver.

Step 4: Confirmation

Once connected, the keyboard will start responding normally while typing.


Section B: Connecting via Bluetooth

Step 1: Switch the Toggle to BT Mode

Slide the toggle switch to BT Mode.

Step 2: Select Bluetooth Channel

Use the following key combinations to select a Bluetooth device channel:

  • Fn + Q → BT1 Mode

  • Fn + W → BT2 Mode

  • Fn + E → BT3 Mode

Step 3: Activate Pairing Mode

Press and hold the selected Bluetooth key (Fn + Q / W / E) for 3–5 seconds.

The indicator light will start blinking rapidly, indicating that the keyboard has entered Bluetooth pairing mode.

Step 4: Enable Bluetooth on Your Device

For Windows

  1. Go to Settings → Bluetooth & Devices

  2. Turn Bluetooth ON

  3. Click Add Device → Bluetooth

  4. Select Portronics Hydra 10

  5. Click Connect

For macOS

  1. Open System Settings → Bluetooth

  2. Turn Bluetooth ON

  3. Select Portronics Hydra 10

  4. Click Connect

Step 5: Connection Confirmation

Once connected, the keyboard will respond while typing.

The keyboard is now ready for use.


Section C: Connecting via Wired Mode

Step 1: Switch the Toggle Mode

Slide the toggle switch (located on the back side of the keyboard) to Wired Mode.

Step 2: Connect the Cable

Use the USB cable provided with the keyboard to connect the keyboard to your device.

The keyboard will automatically establish a wired connection.

Step 3: Confirmation

Once connected, the keyboard will start responding normally while typing.


Section D: Operating RGB Lights

Change RGB Lighting Effects

Adjust RGB Brightness

Press:

Fn + ↑ / ↓

to increase or decrease the RGB brightness level.


Control RGB Lighting Movement

Press:

Fn + ← / →

to control the movement speed of the RGB lighting effects.


Section E: Troubleshooting Guide

Issue 1: Keyboard Not Connecting via USB Receiver

Recommended Checks

  • Ensure the keyboard is powered ON.

  • Reinsert the USB receiver properly.

  • Try connecting the receiver to another USB port.

  • Restart your laptop or desktop.


Issue 2: Keyboard Not Appearing in Bluetooth List

Recommended Checks

  • Ensure the keyboard is in Bluetooth pairing mode (indicator light blinking).

  • Turn Bluetooth OFF and ON on your device.

  • Restart the keyboard and attempt pairing again.

  • Ensure the keyboard has sufficient battery charge.


Issue 3: Keyboard Connected but Not Working

Recommended Checks

  • Remove the keyboard from the Bluetooth device list.

  • Restart your laptop or desktop.

  • Reconnect the keyboard by repeating the pairing steps.

  • Ensure the keyboard is not connected to another device.


Issue 4: Frequent Disconnection

Recommended Checks

  • Maintain a distance of 5–8 meters from the connected device.

  • Avoid wireless interference or physical obstacles.

  • Fully charge the keyboard and test again.

  • Remove and reconnect the keyboard from paired devices.


Issue 5: Key Response Delay

Recommended Checks

  • Ensure the keyboard is within the recommended range of the device.

  • Close background applications consuming high system resources.
